Save versions and export a CV

Keep a separate CV variant, inspect saved versions and download the PDF you intend to send.

Keep the right copy

A CV variant is a separate working copy. Use the CV name menu to duplicate or rename it when preparing a different version for a role. Check which CV is selected in the application before using it.

Undo reverses recent editor actions. Version history contains saved snapshots; it is not a permanent record of every keystroke.

Inspect or restore a version

  1. Open Version history and inspect the saved versions and dates.
  2. Choose Save version when you need a checkpoint.
  3. Before restoring an older version, preserve newer work you still need. A restore replaces the current working content.
  4. After restoring, check the save status and read the CV again. Files already downloaded or sent to employers do not change.

Export and inspect

Export uses a saved CV version. Unaccepted AI suggestions are not added to it, and the editor preview can differ from the PDF.

  1. Check that your latest edits have saved, then choose Export to download the PDF.
  2. Open the PDF and check every page, especially breaks, bullet lists, contact details and links.
  3. If export fails, keep the CV open, check the save status and try again.
