Prepare a CV and cover letter for a job

Choose your source CV, generate a job-specific draft, and check the documents before sending them.

Start with the vacancy

Read the employer's instructions for language, documents and submission method. Keep recent experience first in your CV and use concrete examples of work relevant to the role. A photo is your choice in Uverna; expectations vary by employer and industry.

Prepare your documents

Your interface language and document language are separate. Employer-facing documents can be prepared in German or English.

  1. Open the application and check the role, company and job description. Add the description if it is missing.
  2. Open Prepare CV & letter and choose the CV you want to use as your starting point.
  3. For a cover letter, choose German or English. Selecting a CV or language does not start AI work.
  4. Choose Generate CV & cover letter, Tailor CV or Write cover letter for the draft you need.
  5. Review the draft before using it. Check which CV is selected for this application; your starting CV remains available.

Review facts and the downloaded file

AI can make mistakes. Check employers, dates, qualifications, language levels, figures and contact details against your own records. Correct or remove unsupported claims rather than accepting more impressive wording.

Open the downloaded PDF and read every page. Check page breaks, missing text and the company name. If the employer requests certificates or other attachments, provide them through the employer's channel; the application workspace prepares the CV and cover letter.
